Pie Crust
- 1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons chilled vegetable shortening
- 2-3 tablespoons ice water
- In a food processor mix the flour and salt. Add the vegetable shortening and butter. Pulse until the mixture resembles tiny pebbles.
- Add ice water and pulse until just combined. Chill until needed.
